and so I'm back... from outer space...

Hi everybody!

Wow, I haven't really been over here in a little while! I've missed you all very much. It's fun to hear about everyone's happenings, and that you're all doing well.

(Notice! To improve your reading ease, I've decided to mark any major jumps in logic with the following symbol: *~*~*POOF*~*~*)

Ready?

Well, as you've all probably inferred, I have been nasty feverish for the last few days. I won't give you the ugly details, but just that I pretty much locked myself in my room and slept a lot. I really don't have that much to say. I've just been kind of unconscious. I had a lot of strange dreams though. At least half of them were set in a post-modern castle. We were searching for something, but none of us really knew what it was, just that we had to find it immediately or a whole bunch of people would be in a whole lot of trouble. I say "we" as meaning Linda, Shelty, Logan, Kofi Annan, Mrs. Niemi, and Kelsi Donut. I blame the oyster crackers and C-SPAN.

Anyone who is seeking environmentally friendly Holiday gifts... the Union of Concerned Scientists has heard your calls and pleas. I'm a fan of the organic dark chocolate dreidel, myself.

I'm going to Michigan tomorrow! Yay for Grandparents and air planes!

I saw Casino Royale on Saturday (pre-Asian-Bird-Flu-Episode). I must say, Daniel Craig is damned sexy. Then again, so is James Bond. And Eva Green AKA Vesper AKA "Moneypenny?!?!But didn't she..." well, if you care that much, you've already seen this movie.

In short, Casino Royale= fast action, fast cars, and fast girls. If you're looking for an interesting, mind-numbing, secret-agent-man fantasy, this is your flick. If you are looking for a flawless, intriguing, unpredictable plot and plot alone- this is not so much for you. It is a great just-for-fun movie, though. Some of the fight scenes run pretty long, but the characters make up for it, especially the play off of Bond and Vesper.

Oh, and did I mention that Daniel Craig is damned sexy?
Well, he is.

Oh, dear, I hope I'm not picking up a cold now...!

My goldfish has Dropsy. It is really tragic. His name is Spotty. He is nine years old. He started off as a class pet when my brother was in first grade; he's come a long way since then. Unfortunately, his habit for eating snails, and my father's strange desire to add lake-bred snails to the fishtank, have caused him to suffer from severe constipation and bloating. Hence? The dropsy. Either that or he has cancer. We're not really sure. Either way, I am doing all in my power to save him. If any of you are also worried that your goldfish may be suffering from dropsy, here are some of the symptoms:

-Pineconing (scales sticking out like a pinecone)
-Swelling/bloating
-Puffy eyes
-Constipation

The following website talks about the treatment of dropsy:

Until then, all we can do is hope.

One question: how awesome is the accent? I'm going to see it tomorrow as part of our annual Thanksgiving movie tradition, and having been a huge fan of looking at Pierce Brosnan, I would like to know how the accent holds up.

Also, yay for healthier Sara! Enjoy Michigan! We'll miss you! *squishes*

Hahaha... Sara, I don't think I've ever heard you use that phrase before. So, the Blonde Bond isn't bad?

Have fun in Michigan! I second Kara, we will miss you!

In case anyone was wondering, I am now a huge fan of looking at Daniel Craig, and for a Bond movie, it was possibly the best one I've ever seen. Although a couple of the Sean Connery ones might hold up.

PROGNOSIS: Very poor

December is dropsy awareness month. The Swim For The Cure fundraising swim-a-thon takes place in the YMCA pool on December 15th. Purchase your blue ribbon at the WO to show your support for Dropsy Awareness Month.
