Roses, lilacs, daisies, and forget-me-nots

Reasons why this could be hell week:

Monday: Nasty Calc Quiz
Tuesday: Head meets concrete in Epic Battle over consciousness
Wednesday: Forgot Interact breakfast
Thursday: Barely made it into uniform for the band concert/Played a game of musical horns with one of the sophomores.
Tomorrow: Only the Devil knows.

Reasons why this is not hell week:

Monday: There was a box elder bug on the window next to me in AP Bio. We were both happy that the janitors finally turned on the upstairs heat vents. Yay!
Tuesday: I took a seven hour nap when I got home and had a dream that I met Amy Klobuchar. She came to my house and I made her blueberry muffins.
Wednesday: It rained. My dad made spaghetti.
Thursday: That wonderful dry-mouth, slick-palmed, golden brass and sweaty sneaker feeling of Band concerts.
Friday: No debate practice after school; no weekend plans. Maybe I'll rake leaves or go jogging. Jogging is always nice. And reading. Books are always nice. I bought a copy of Godless at Barnes and Noble last weekend. I'm looking forward to it!

Throughout this awful, awful week I kept thinking of Ophelia, and how, even when she finally went insane, she kept singing about flowers- pretty flowers- even to her death, surrounded by flowers. I may have lost my sanity this week... but I can still collect flowers.

How should I your true love know
From another one?
By his cockle hat and staff,
And his sandal shoon.

He is dead and gone, lady,
He is dead and gone;
At his head a grass-green turf,
At his heels a stone.

White his shroud as the mountain snow,
Larded with sweet flowers,
Which bewept to the grave did go
With true-love showers.

Are we talking about the same "Godless" here? The one written by Anne Coulter? If so, I do hope you're reading it as a study on psycopaths. J/K! I love you Sara, and I'm sorry you had the week from hell! I really wish I could have come to the band concert. When is the next one, out of curiosity?

God, no! (No pun intended)

If I were reading Anne Coulter, you'd KNOW I'd lost my mind. No, this is the Godless by Peter Hautman... ala the art of worshiping Watertowers.

*wipes forhead and exhales sigh of relief* That's a relief. I thought we were losing you for a second. Hmmm, I was hoping it was later than that so I could go. Darn. I think I have finals until the 15th.

I think we should all plan a day to crash Deebs's Human Geo class while you guys are back during that last week. Since we have school and everyone else is off and Sara and I have varying forms of an open sixth.

I'm sorry, Sara. *hugs* I may go to the next band concert, but I'm not sure. Although, I'm going to be all alone in Euro today... Fun... I'm so not looking forward to that.

I had the same dream, but instead of Klobuchar it was Bob Dole.
